    ........ .. .. .. .. Uutta! Siiri Nordin on tehnyt levytyssopimuksen EMI Finlandin kanssa. Uusi single “ Viimeinen palanen ” tulevalta albumilta kuultiin ensimmäisen kerran yleX:n aamussa pari viikkoa sitten. Albumilla teksteistä vastaa Nordinin lisäksi Vilja Roihu, ja tuottajana toimii myös live-bändissä soittava Jussi Jaakonaho. Nordin kuvailee albumin syntyneen uteliaisuudesta: ” minua kiinnosti se, miltä mahdan kuulostaa suomeksi kun musiikki ja tekstit ovat niin omia ja täysin uusia . Lopputulos teki minut onnelliseksi ja tyytyväiseksi. Projekti kaikenkaikkiaan on ollut hieno ja minulle henkilökohtaisesti mielenkiintoinen kokemus.” Maaliskuussa 2008 ilmestyvällä albumilla kuullaan musiikkia joka on saanut vaikutteita mm. jazzista, ja bluegrassista. kappaleet sovitettiin treenikämpällä yhdessä mestarimuusikoiden, basisti Mitja Tuuralan, rumpali Sami Kuoppamäen, ja kitaristi/tuottaja Jussi Jaakonahon kanssa. Levyllä kuullaan myös upea vierailijoiden kaarti: Timo Lassy, Jukka Eskola, Mikko Mustonen, Pekka Kuusisto, Aleksandra Babitzin, Jussi Nikkilä, Kimmo Pohjonen, ja Pekka Grön. .... In Finland 25 year old Siiri Nordin hardly needs any introduction. She is an artist well known for her previous work as the lead singer of the pop-group Killer, and the 2 extremely successful albums they recorded before splitting up in 2005. Both "Sickeningly Pretty & Unpleasantly Vain" and "Sure You Know How To Drive This Thing" topped the charts in Finland, but the second of the albums was the real breakthrough for the band. It included the gold selling smash-hit "Naughty Boy", the track that dominated the Finnish radio waves 2003, went number 1 in the MTV Nordic chart, and also aided the band into success in Scandinavia and around Europe, most of all in Germany, Italy and Poland. After the active days of Killer Siiri returned to the top of the Finnish radio charts, now solo with the track Sydämeni osuman sai, a version of Gene Pitney's classic Something's gotten hold of my heart, recorded for the score of the film Helmiä ja Sikoja. After that she decided to take a break from writing music..... Now back as a solo artist Siiri has a new passion for writing music. Me too-album presents a unique, sunny blend of pop, folk and jazz with perceptive lyrics and more hooks than you could hope for. Siiri' s band on both the album and the live performances is a genuine all-star line-up of Finnish popular music. Vocals are delivered both by Siiri and the long-time friend and collaborator Aleksandra Babitzin. Guitarist Jussi Jaakonaho is well known for playing with Jonna Tervomaa and J. Karjalainen as well as producing them and several other top domestic acts such as Lemonator and Ismo Alanko. Bass player Mitja Tuurala is generally acknowledged as one of the grooviest men living in any place this cold, and aside from Siiri's band he is currently playing for J. Karjalainen and Cool Sheiks as well. The drums are played by Siiri's brother Reino Nordin, known both as an actor in several chart-busting films, and his musical work with the top Finnish reggae-acts Kompostikopla and Ylivoima. currently Siiri Nordin is releasing new material in finnish. the album will be released march 2008. the first single " viimeinen palanen " was released november 2007 and only after two days it was the most frequently played song in radiohelsinki. ..
