When Helsinki residents Juha Tuukkanen and Terhi Koivisto first met, all they could talk about was music.
Juha had been a longtime electronica fan while Terhi was a fan of the more organic sounds her mother used to play. Combining these influences, they formed Spyritual. Their music fell somewhere among Moloko, Smoke City, Tortoise, and the Cinematic Orchestra with Terhi's ethereal voice over Juha's rich soundscapes. The label Kitty-Yo gave the world its first taste of Spyritual in 2005 when it released the duo's debut, Wall of Soul. ~ David Jeffries
