His biggest mentors have been Jarkka Rissanen and Jaakko Heinonen. Other important influences are Son House, Freddie King, Steve Cropper and Kenny Burrell.

In 1993 Jonne started an acoustic duo with a harmonica great and singer Juha Kartano to play country blues. They have played all over in Finland and Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia) and released an album BLUES 'N' SPIRIT (2003) by Humble House Records.

In 1996 Jonne joined J. Leino and Blues Guys. Now legendary Finnish band was famous for their tough funky-Chicago-blues style. During that time the Blues Guys released albums DON'T HESITATE (1997) and FROM NOW ON (2001) and appeared on several v/a collections. The band also performed on Scandinavia's biggest blues festivals (Notodden 1996, Mönsterås 1998, Hell 1999) and in Europe (Hungary 1999, Czech Republic 2004).

Jonne has toured with Tad Robinson (USA), R.J. Mischo (USA), Mud Morganfield (USA), Bobby Radcliff (USA), Terry Hanck (USA), Mark Hummel (USA), Steve Guyger (USA), Billy Branch (USA), West Weston (UK), Steve Freund (USA), Kat Baloun (USA/DE), Doktu Rhute Muuzic (aka Roy Hytower) (USA), Johnny Drummond (USA), Henry Heggen (USA/DE), Harmonica Shah and Howard Glazer (USA), etc.

He has also performed with James Harman, Rockin' Johnny Burgin, Keith Dunn, Nathan James, Doug Jay, Otis Grand and Mitch Kashmar.
